Gloria Gervitz (Mexico)

Gloria Gervitz was born in Mexico in 1943. A student of art history (Iberoamericana University), she spent 27 years writing a seven-part poem entitled Migraciones-Migrations, which has been published incrementally since 1991 in various literary magazines and publications (Mexico and Switzerland), anthologies, and in many languages. In 1995, Gervitz obtained a grant to translate the work of American poet Lorine Niedecker into Spanish. She has led poetry workshops throughout Mexico.
