Contest :

This literary competition, organized by the Société d'étude et de conférences, is open to educational institutions, teachers, and students in the Mauricie region of Quebec.

Prizes:

• Three prizes will be awarded at the secondary level: first prize $200, second prize $150, and third prize $100
• Three prizes will be awarded at the elementary level: first prize $100, second prize $75, and third prize $50
• Authors of the prize-winning poems will be invited to read their piece on Saturday, September 29^th  at the Maison de la Culture of Trois-Rivières, during the poetry readings scheduled for the Matins de la poésie and the gala of the Trois Rivières International Poetry Festival
• A winner unable to attend the reading is responsible for finding a friend to come and deliver the reading of the prize-winning poem.
• Participants will receive a copy of their poem on parchment paper, posters of Les Matins de la poésie and the Festival International de la Poésie ; they will also be invited to sign the mayor’s official guest book and will have the opportunity to win a prize for participating in the reading.
• Teachers, parents and friends are cordially invited to attend the poetry reading
